Lorton Prison's power plant, now abandoned. This control panel was originally the same green as most of the buildings' interiors. (I note that this same color was used in Eastern State Prison. I wonder if there was a psychological argument that it was soothing or calming, or whether it was just inexpensive.) Note the color coding of the buttons. Even now, they engender a desire to hit them, hard, to awaken action or demand a screeching halt.
