I am available for both private and semi-private (groups of 5 or less) instruction.

The  sessions are tailored to your needs and skills.  The goal is to enable you to capture in your image your feelings and to be able to convey your emotions to those viewing your fine art.

The sessions can include either “class room” or field instruction, or both.  Typical areas of discussion include visualizing the composition, creating the image and making the fine art print.

“Class room” time is often devoted to composition, “processing” the image with various software programs, and printing.

Field instruction emphasizes pre-visualizing the image, composition, lens selection, exposure including the use of filters, aperture, depth of field and shutter speed.  The sessions are available in my locale (Virginia) or at any venue you desire.

I use both 35mm DSLR and medium format cameras and lenses.

Since each course of instruction is designed specifically for you, costs will vary.  Multi-day discounts are available.  Typically, field instruction is $1500 per day (plus expenses when in a locale other than Virginia). The cost may be divided between the participants (up to five students).  A “day” is usually eight hours.  “Class room” instruction is provided at my gallery, and is $100 per hour with a minimum of two hours.

Prices include a large glicee fine art print on archival museum quality paper of one of your images.
